See & Hear "Ethics Is a Living Thing" Performance April 1

A theatrical event of significance for our time will take place on Sunday, April 1, 2:30 PM, at the Aesthetic Realism Foundation in SoHo. It is "Ethics Is a Living Thing!”--the Aesthetic Realism Theatre Company’s dramatic production of Eli Siegel's 1970 lecture on Robert Southey's Wat Tyler: A Poetic Drama." This short play of 1794 about the first English revolutionary--which will be performed in its entirety--and the historic lecture about it by poet and critic Eli Siegel, founder of Aesthetic Realism, have answers that people need urgently now! I'm proud to be a part of this event.

"The neatest presentation of the rights of the people is in this play," says Mr. Siegel, of this drama about the historic Peasants' Rebellion of 1381: “In its way, Wat Tyler is a miniature masterpiece.” More than ever, people are concerned about the ethical matters that Mr. Siegel shows are central in Wat Tyler: the relation of wealth and poverty; labor and profit; and this question first asked by Eli Siegel, which our whole country needs to ask now--"What does a person deserve by being a person?"

The Aesthetic Realism Foundation is located at 141 Greene Street, in SoHo. There is a suggested contribution of $12. Seating is on a first-arrival basis, or call 212.777.4490 for reservations; and visit www.AestheticRealism.org .
